Eater Dallas: A Local Pizzeria Chain Will Bring Neapolitan Pizzas to The Shops at Legacy
Look for Dallas’ Olivella’s to Land in Plano This Fall
A local Neapolitan pizzeria chain, Olivella’s, will open this fall in Plano’s Shops at Legacy in the spot formerly occupied by Coal Vines. Olivella’s already counts four locations in DFW including in Lakewood, Victory Park, Fort Worth, and its first location near SMU. It’s opening its fifth and six outposts in Las Colinas and in Plano at 7300 Lone Star Drive, Suite C125. Owner Charlie Green told CultureMap that the Coal Vines location at the Shops at Legacy was originally supposed to house his restaurant, but because he opened an outpost in Victory Park around the same time, he just couldn’t swing it financially.
The Shops’ spot will get a complete overhaul before Olivella’s moves in, including revamping the dimly lit Coal Vine’s interiors into a sunkissed Italian pizzeria with stucco and exposed brick walls, leather-clad seating, and sunny yellow-hued accents. Diners will find the same menu gracing other Olivella’s locations including antipasti like meatballs and prosciutto-covered bruschetta, pastas, salad, sandwiches, and more than a dozen pizza options smothered in sauce and toppings like truffle oil, gorgonzola cheese, house-made mozzarella, pancetta, and more. Beer and an extensive wine assortment will also be on offer. Stay tuned for Olivella’s official opening date this fall.
