New Department Store Neighborhood Goods Set to Open Flagship Store in Plano’s Legacy West
A new department store called Neighborhood Goods is set to open its flagship store in Plano’s Legacy West shopping district. Neighborhood Goods prides itself in being a new kind of department store, in which customers will partake in a full retail, culinary, and auditory experience. The new storefront comes after founders Matt Alexander and Mark Masinter raised over $5.75 million over the course of the past summer. Alexander has been building his resume in retail over the past few years. The entrepreneur launched online retail shop Need in 2014 and co-founded pop-up showcase Unbranded, which allows entrepreneurs, artists, and designers a free space to share their works.
One notable component of Neighborhood Goods will be their rotating brands. Alexander and Masinter are opting not to purchase their merchandise at wholesale. This allows the owners to rotate the store’s merchandise at their own discretion. Upon its opening, the first round of merchandise will include products from the likes of men wellness brand Hims, Hubble contact lenses, and UK pajama brand Desmond & Dempsey.
Neighborhood Goods is currently slated to open in Legacy West in November 2018, with more locations to open in 2019. For more information visit https://localprofile.com/2018/10/10/neighborhood-goods-open-legacy-west/.
